Membership
Join Us Individuals, public and private professional associations, organizations and institutions are invited to join NFBPA. Working together, NFBPA, the Tampa Bay Chapter and nearly 50 other local chapters have developed an exceptional package of products and services for members. Committees & Sub-Committees
The standing Committees & Sub-Committees of the NFBPA Tampa Baya Area Chapter Membership: The Membership committee shall be responsible for the continual membership recruitment, campaigns, maintenance of listing of interested prospects and persons, as well as those who have declined chapter membership. Duties include production of the annual local membership directory. Future Focus Committee: The Future Focus Committee shall provide and develop mechanisms for Black college students to experience and gain knowledge about the internal operations of local government on the field of public administration. This committee has also been assigned to the task of determining what NFBPA Tampa Bay Area Chapter wants and where it needs to be in the next 10 years; how our Strategic Plan implementation is commensurate with achieving those goals and how do we attract, recruit, retain and provide appropriate networking/opportunities for young, mid-level, and seasoned public managers. Fundraising: The Fundraising Committee shall be responsible for working with the Treasurer, assist with budget preparations and serve as the coordinator for fundraising activities. Media Relations –Public Information Committee: The Media Relations –Public Information Committee shall be responsible for the public image of NFBPA Tampa bay Area Chapter. The duties include, but are not limited to press releases, website, and review of community service projects, marketing the NFBPA Tampa Bay Area Chapter and working with all other committees concerning images, philosophy, goals and principals. Professional Development- Community Service, Events and programs Committee: The Professional Development- Community Service, Events and programs Committee shall be responsible for organizing and scheduling professional development seminars, training and education programs; overseeing all community service projects, events and activities, and serve as the quality assurance mechanism for the NFBPA Tampa Bay Area Chapter. The Committee shall work with the Officers, Executive Board and all other committees to assist with scheduling and arrangements for banquets, receptions, welcome events, professional training classes and seminars community activities, etc. NFBPA Leadership Summit Planning Sub-Committee: This committee has been assigned to plan a forum that will address the value and challenges of the role of Public Administrators in shaping public policy. Workshops that could provide insights strategies for public administrators and those considering careers in public administration. Florida NFBPA Conference Planning Sub-Committee: This committee has been assigned to plan the Florida NFBPA Conference. The Florida NFBPA Conference will provide professional development opportunities for public administrators, academics and students in the state of Florida. This conference is also an opportunity for local governments and area schools to showcase their best practices. Feel Free to Review Our October
